Has been 2 weeks since I started La Sorbonne πŸ‡«πŸ‡·

It has been a week since I started La Sorbonne. All my dreams are coming true. I was born in Paris, in the fifth where the school is located. I used to pass it as a kid and I remember thinking how much I would love to go there. I thought that dream would be impossible.
Last year, i decided I wanted to go to school in Paris. I applied to American University of Paris but they did not accept me. I was a little disappointed but I still told myself that I was going to move to Paris. I told my father that I was going to apply to French university earlier than expected. I decided on La Sorbonne. For the first semester, I attended a school that was to improve my French in writing and reading since it had been 7 years since I had been to a French school. In June, I handed in my application to La Sorbonne. I studied for the French test every single day, writing and rewriting my essay, translating my grades into French, and not sleeping enough. It was all worth it. And what’s even more amazing? I am graduating on time. My college education got delayed as I had to attend a community college for two years and yet, I am still graduating on time. I do not know anyone who went to community college and is graduating on time. If I had stayed at Sarah Lawrence College, I would be graduating in 2016 and I did Sarah Lawrence which does not even count, did two years of community college and now only one year at La Sorbonne and I am graduating on time. Than, I plan on doing my masters in education. Hard work pays off.
Growing up with my brother, he always told me to look at the big picture. Sometimes, it was hard but it was worth it. I put what I wanted over everything else. My education was the most important part of what I wanted. Some people don’t need school, but I do.
My family and friends supported me a 100 percent in my dreams and I could never have done it without them.
