Moving to Haiti in 2018

I have decided that after I graduate university with my masters in teaching to move back to Jacmel in Haiti if I get a job there as a teacher. I do not want to move there without having a teaching job. I also want to run my hotel which bears my name so that one day I inherit the hotel. I would be saving so much money! I will be living like a queen there. I wouldn’t have to worry about money for food or rent or anything.

By then, I would have gotten my masters in education and be a certified teacher. I would have gotten my French citizenship finally if everything works out. I will move to Jacmel for a while and then when I want to be a mother, come back and live between France and Haiti. I want to live there and work and eventually start my own school.

I will never move back to the states. I never felt like I fit in there. Haiti is close to the US but thankfully it is nothing like it.

I plan on spending every summer until I graduate in Haiti volunteer at a school which hopefully will one day lead to a job. So, June 2018 I will be moving to Haiti. I can’t wait for my life and my career to start.
